Dear Patient and Family,
The current medical system in the United States is convoluted and constantly changing. It begins at the many specialties and sub-specialties to multiple and goes on to confusing insurance difficulties. When your child becomes ill, it may feel as the world is turned upside down. Suddenly thrust into seeing multiple doctors, being offered multiple treatments, procedures and given little time to understand diagnoses or even being provided with no conclusive diagnoses, any person may find themselves lost, feeling helpless and even hopeless.
When taking care of my ill mom, addition of her specialists and sub-specialists, prescriptions and directions, options and non-options were thrust upon me with increasing intensity, I found myself struggling. As a physician and well aware of the system and its practices, I often still felt frustrated, misunderstood, disoriented and lost. I could not imagine how any person who does not have my experience or more could feel in a similar situation or one that was worse.
After my mom's unfortunate and unforeseen passing, and after a long road to more clear thinking, I have made myself a personal promise to provide help where I can to those struggling to find themselves in the complex system and find understanding of what best care can be for one's ailing child. I am here to offer these services for you. With such services, I understand there can be conundrums - such as even transportation and more.
